Realistic wear for the zombie apocalypse

I've decide today to combine my love of zombies with my love for this blog. I've seen many sites where they post what to wear in the case of a zombie apocalypse. And I often end up mad sitting there thinking "no, you would not accessorize before you run around to escape from zombies". So I've decided to make my own version, this outfit seems practical for me. I started off with a pair of basic black leggings (I'm in love with these they are SO comfortable) I chose these because wearing jeans or a skirt and running just don't mix. Next I put on my large bunny sweater, because it's not heavy and quite comfortable and covers my skin. After that I put on my red plaid coat, this will keep me warm at night and on chilly days. My shoes I chose because they are like rain boot material, so I wouldn't have to worry about ruining them or getting wet toes. Finally, my hair, I chose to leave my hair loose and natural because its a style I don't have to worry about at all. My biggest goal in this outfit was to cover all my skin, and stay comfortable. How do you think I did? Comment below and tell me what you think

Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Zombies have to be one of my favorite things to watch and read about. I even watch the low budget movies that completely suck, because I love zombies just that much. If you watch these kind of flicks as much as me you've probably started thinking about how you would survive, what things they do that seem stupid or very smart. So here's just a handful of tips to help you survive the zombie apocalypse.
  1. NEVER go to a big name superstore when things are first starting; think about it this way, if you have a local Walmart and you want to go stock up on food before things get too bad, don't you think others have thought the same thing? Chances are, by the time you get there it will be packed and barely worth the trip. Stay home for awhile, wait for things to die down, and if you must go somewhere try a small time store that's not very big and often not visited (corner stores, small shops etc.). But I recommend staying inside for as long as possible.
  2. You don't have to immediately leave; I feel some people have this ideal that once the zombie apocalypse starts they must leave home and  live in the woods from then on. But that's not true, if zombies aren't banging on your window that day, why go out and chance it? Home is the safest place right now, just cover your windows, lock the doors and portion your food cause you never know how long you'll have to stay like this.
  3. Don't create some huge group to fight zombies with. The idea of having 20 people to have your back in a fight like this sounds great. But all these people are going to have opinions about what's best; where you should go,how you should handle things, how to run the group etc. And with all the differing opinions there will be fights, and the only thing you should be fighting now are zombies. So keep your group down to people you know and can depend on, and don't let the group get too big.
  4. Conserve resources, I hinted at this in one of the above tips because whether you choose to stay in or roam you need to do this. Nothing is promised in the apocalypse, so don't assume you're going to find things, hold onto things like they're your last. If your lucky enough to get ample supplies good for you, but don't expect it to happen. Enjoy the little things.
Maybe these tips aren't perfect but I think they'd work for me. What do you think?
